Spring 2021

News Extra

Hello friends

We just wanted to drop you a very short note with a couple of news items that may be of interest. As the first signs of Spring emerge, we hope you find some encouragement in this short update.

The first of which is a link to a BBC Radio Wales programme that I presented, along with Jayne a few weeks ago. It is only available on the BBC website and BBC Sounds App until about the 9th of March. The BBC continues to produce a regular act of worship programme, but need to record them differently at the moment, which means we have this additional opportunity occasionally. We recorded it from my study at Zac's Place, connected online to a producer in Cardiff and continue to learn new things in the process! The link is below. (28 mins)

Also following is a somewhat more informal, and very cold, link to a video devotional on 'The Parable of the Sower' that I did as part of a weekly series, shared around God's Squad members internationally. It is mainly shared via social media pages, but I'll include a YouTube link for it. (Apx 10 mins)

Subscribe Past Issues Translate In other news, we are pressing on with our building plans at Zac's Place, all the usual food

provision continues, as does the weekly bible study on 'Zoom'. We have also had some really helpful financial support from Swansea Council's Food Poverty Fund to help pay for food and some new freezers and other items. Martyn Jospeh's 'Let Yourself Trust' has also given us another substantial grant of £15,000 with the vast majority of it going towards our renovation fund.

We continue to be grateful for the provision of support from our regular sponsors and these and other additional, and sometimes unexpected gifts really do make a big difference.

Rough Edges has obviously had to remain closed during lockdowns, but a few of the crew have been working hard behind the scenes to reorganise the workshop and stock. The shop will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

I'll send out another letter in due course, but wanted to send this one out before the BBC link expires!

With deep appreciation as always and prayers that you will know God's blessing and peace in your own life and circumstances.

Sean Stillman
