The charity's objects and the principal activitivs of the Lompany are the provision of s¢rvinby thc mcntal health ne¢ds of
people from Victn<Um in London. scrvicc8 provided include.. outreach, infonnal counselling. support to mental he¢tlth
userslcarers. day cenlr¢s activities. educationallinformatiun and training lo Vietnames¢ people 41boul mental health
issues and heallh/soLiuI Lare systems, and training io raise awareness amongst mainstreain professionals about the
Vietnames¢ culture and perspective in mental health, in order to facililatc quality and culturally sen5itivc services to
people from Vietnam who have mental health ditTicultiC8. The Charity continues lo explore ncw ways of improving the
services provided and in this connection the planned new activity detuilcd bclow should be noted.
The charity is organised so that the trustees meet regularly to manaL7e its affair8. Thcre is one full time director, who both
managcs the day to day administration of th¢ Lharily, and organises ￿nd-raising initiatives. W¢ arc grateful to volunteers
who assist with the care of the clients.

Special Rcsolulions to be adoptcd, rcquirLd the support of 75 % of those voting. Today, there were 6 prcsLnlLd plus I I
proxy I'cccivcd. Therefore, total attended were 17, and it is quorale for thi8 mccting.

and have lo luni away those with mental health ditTiculties, whom had used oui- support for many years. As coniinuiiity
orgianisation, VMHS cannol overcome ihiq dilemma. Therefore, it is proposed that Vietnamese Mcntal I Icalih 8crviceg
to be closed on 30th September 2023 after current active cases had transited to local mainstream mental health services.
Drop-ln Day Centrc
Day Centre- ESOL cla%b and Group activity had be¢n nsn as usual, on 3rd May 2023. Director and stsff hold a meeting
wilh %crvicc users and informed thein that VMI IS will closc il opcration on 30th Scptcmb¢r 2023. During the next 5
months. VMHS. support workers will support and assist clients to access local mainstream mental health services, based
on individual nceds.
An official VMHS Closure announcement was s¢nt out to all stak¢holders. donors and services users on 15th May
2023. The closure announcement was also shared on the VMHS website.

No new referrdls were accepted from May 2023. Staff focused their work on assisting and supporting cur￿n1 services
users in the transitioning process to access local mental health and wellbeing services as far as was possible.
+ VMHS Support workers supported the IransitioT]iT]g process in the following ways..
For clients who wLre under the care of CMHTS or 8pecialist s¢rvic¢s. handovLr TllLCting8 or di8cus8ions WL'rc hcld with
C¢lTC cuordiniltors to highlight the ongoing nLcds. This was followed up with a letter confirniing the ¢losur¢ of the
organisation and client needs.
For client8 who ale solely under the care of GP8. individual Icttcrb were sent to every GP identifyingy the client and
clarifying the closure and the serviccs that will no longer be available as a result.
VMHS support worker8 infonned service users and their Carers of the relevant local mental health and wellbeing
scrviLcs aviiilable. Service users and their carcrs decided which une they would like to access. VMHS support workers
accompanied service u.%cr81 carcrs to the servic¢ and explained to the provider Ihat VMHS will no longer be providing
mental health support to the Vietnamc8e c()mmunity. Where possible, fillther accompanying visitsl meetings were
offered.

During thc 3.5 years p¥riod, VMHS receivcd 120 cli¢nls for counselling, all clicnt8 were assessed, and counsclling
provided 876 8L.4bions.
