**Objects:** TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION BY THE STUDY OF LOCAL HISTORY IN LONG BUCKBY AND TO ACQUIRE OBJECTS AND PROPERTY OF HISTORIC INTEREST AND TO PURSUE AND PROMOTE THE SOCIETY'S OBJECTS AMONG THE PUBLIC BY MEANS OF MEETINGS, EXHIBITIONS AND OTHER FORMS OF INSTRUCTION AND PUBLICITY TO IMPROVE CONSERVE AND PRESERVE THE COUNTRYSIDE OF LONG BUCKBY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC

**Activities:** The Society runs a programme of talks, walks and other events relating to local history in general and to the history of Long Buckby in particular. It also carries out research on aspects of village history. The third area of activity is the collection of photographs, documents and artefacts relating to the village past and present and to this end it maintains a small museum for its collection.
