Activities

Founded by Benjamin Britten in 1952 for local amateur musicians, Aldeburgh Music Club is an unauditioned choral society. Weekly rehearsals under its musical director aim to prepare for three annual public concerts, often held in Snape Maltings Concert Hall with professional soloists and orchestra. Strong local support is given by its patrons.AMC has commissioned choral works from young composers.

Objects: 1) To Promote, Improve, Develop And Maintain Public Education In And Appreciation Of The Art And Science Of Music In All Its Aspects By The Presentation Of Public Concerts And Recitals And By Such Other Ways As The Club Through Its Committee Shall Determine From Time To Time 2) To Further Such Other Charitable Purposes As The Club Shall From Time To Time Decide
