HALACHA LEMOSHE TRUST TRUSTEES. REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 23 JUNE 2023 The trustees present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 23 June 2023. The financial slalemenls have been prèpared in accordance with the accounting policies sel out in note 1 to the financial statements and comply with the Irusl's governing document. the Charities Act 2011 and "Accounting and Reporting by Charities." Slalement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their accounts in 8ccordan¢e with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective 1 January 20191" Objectives and activities The Irusl's objects are the advancing of orthodox Jewish religion and of promoting the orthodox Jewish religion in general in any part of the worfd. In particular, the trust assists the Talmudical College known as"Halacha Lemoshe and such other orthodox Jewsh religious and educational institutions in Israel as the Iruslee may from ty'me lo lime determine. In this context the Trustees have complied with the duly in section 17 151 of the 2011 Charities Act in giving due consideration to the Charity Commission's guidance on Public Benefrt. The trustees have paid due regard lo guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the trust should undertake. The charity was able to raise fLJnds and transmit these for the benefit of advancing of orthodox Jewish religion and of promoting orthodox Jewish religion. All this was achieved through the hard work of a dedicated committee working in a purely voluntary capacity. Flnanclal revlew The trustees consider the performance of the charity during the year to be satisfactory. Donations of £70,84512022'. £50,857) were received during the year and grants totalling £75,50012022'. £44,000) were made during the year. It is the policy of the trust lo remit all funds received less any direct govemance costs directly to Halacha Lemoshe in Israel. As the charity does not have any significant governance costs, fc does not hold any signrficant funds. In the year under review, the unrestricted fund balance decreased to a deficit of £2,322, 12022.. Surplus of £4,1831. V￿lIst the fund had a deficit at the year end, there have been significant funds re￿iVed since to ensure the charity Is in the position lo pay any liabilities that arise. The Iruslees have assessed the major risks lo which the trust is exposed, and are satisfied that there is little exposure due to having few governance costs. Plans for future perlods The Charity intends ID continue their fundraising efforts in the coming years and as they have in the past proven to be successful, they have no plans lo change them materially. The Charity also intends to remf( funds to Halacha Lemoshe and such other institutions in Israel lo advance and promote the orthodox Jewsh religion.

The trust was registered wlh the Charity Commission as 'Halacha Lemoshe Trust. on 1 November 1990 (Registration no. 10007281. The principal address of the trust is 57 Boyne Avenue, London, NW4 2JL. The trustees who served during the year and up to the date of signature of the financial statements were.. The Board of Trustees is aulhorised lo appoint new Trustees lo fill vacancies arising through resignation or death of an existing Trustee. The board of trustees is the governing body ¥Nhich administers the charity. All major decisions are made by the board who fomiulate policy and lo decide on strategy. RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 23 JUNE 2023 The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the financial statements in accordance wth applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice). The law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the trust and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the trust for that year. In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to.. select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consislenlly., observe the methods and principles In the Charities SORP., make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent", slate whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject lo any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial stslemenls", and prepare the financial slalemenls on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate lo presume that the charity will continue in operation. The trustees are responsible for keeping sufficient accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy al any lime the financial position of the trust and enable them lo ensure that the fi'nancial slalemenls comply with the Charities Act 2011. the Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the trust and hence for tsking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

This report is made solely to the charity's trustee, as a body, in accordance with section 145 of the Charities Act 2011. My work has been undertaken so that I might state to the charity's trustee those matters l am required to state lo them in this report and for no Other purpose. NW4 2JL. 1.1 Accountlng conventlon The financial statements have been prepared in accordan￿ with the trust's governing dlxument. the Charities Act 2011 and 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective 1 January 20191 The trust is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102. The trust has taken advantage of the provisions in the SORP for charities applying FRS 102 Update Bulletin 1 not to prepare a Statement of Cash Flows. The financial statements have departed from the Charities IAccounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 only to the extent required to provide a true and fair view. This departure has involved following the Statement of Recommended Practice for charities applying FRS 102 rather than the version of the Statement of Recommended Practice which is referred to in the RegLJlations but which has since been withdrawn. The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the trust. Monetary amounts in these financial slalements are rounded to the nearest £. The financial slalemenls have been prepared under the historical cost convention. The principal accounting policies adopted are sel out below. 1.2 Going concern At the lime of approving the financial ststemenls, the trustees have a reasonable expectation that the trust has adequate resources lo continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the trustees continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting In preparing the financial statements. 1.3 Charitable funds Unrestricted funds are available for use al the discretion of the trustees in ftjrtherance of their charitsble objectives. 1.4 Income Income is recognised when the trust receives it. Cash donations are ￿cognised on receipt. Other donations are ￿cOgnised once the trust has been notified of the donation. Income lax recoverable in relation lo donations received under Gift Aid or deeds of covenant is recognised al the time of the donation. 1.5 Expendlture Charitable activities include both the direct and support costs relating to these activities. Other expenditure includes the costs of any legal advice lo the trustees on governance or conslilulional matters, and external accountancy costs. Expenditure on charitsble activities are those costs incurred in support of the charitable expenditure and have been allocated to the charitable aclivily.

Bank overdrafts are shown within borrowngs in current liabilities. 1.7 Funds The charity's unrestricted funds are available for general use by the charity. 1.8 Nonwcash donations A subslanlial contribution lo the activities of the charity is supplied in the form of voluntary services and donated facilities. The financial benefit of these non-cash donations have not been recognised in these accounts as by their nature Il would be impractical lo quantify in monetary terms. Critical accounting estimates and judgements In the application of the trust's accounting policies. the trustees are required to make judgements. estimates and assumptions about the carrying amount of assets and liabilities that are not readily apparent from other sources. The eslimales and associated assumptions are based on historical experience and other fadors that are considered lo be relevant. Actual results may differ from these estimates. The estimates and underfying assumptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Revisions lo accounting estimates are recognised in the period in which the estimate is revised where the revision affects only that period, or in the period of the revision and future periods where the revision affects both current and future periods. In the view of the Trustee, there are no significant accounting eslimales and judgements applied.
