Our purpose:

Cleaswell Hill Foundation aims to provide additional financial support, opportunities and resources to Cleaswell Hill School. The allocated budget provision to the school supports the children’s curriculum activities and resources. Cleaswell Hill Foundation aims to provide support for those provisions that fall outside the normal remit of that budget provision. The charity also aims to provide support, resources and access to school facilities for members of the local community for public benefit.

Who we support:

The children that attend Cleaswell Hill School (aged from 2-19) have a wide range of needs ranging from complex and multiple learning disabilities and difficulties, speech language and communication needs to physical and sensory needs. 100% of the children that attend Cleaswell Hill School have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school catchment area covers the whole of Northumberland, providing specialist provision in collaboration with parents, carers and multi-agency professionals. Cleaswell Hill School is situated in an area of high deprivation.

Cleaswell Hill Foundation also supports the local community and carries out its purpose for the public benefit.

We are delighted that donations to Cleaswell Hill Foundation facilitated the purchase of a new accessible minibus, computers, breakfast provision for all Cleaswell Hill School pupils, classroom kitchen equipment and much more this financial year.

Thank you for your ongoing support and generosity; it is greatly appreciated.

Some examples of how Cleaswell Hill Foundation supported local/national charities and the local community during 2022 - 2023:

Cleaswell Hill Foundation hosted non-uniform days and domino cards in aid of BBC Children in Need (registered charity number 802052) raising £109.60, NSPCC (registered charity number 216401) generating £63.77 and Comic Relief (registered charity number 326568) collecting £102.80 this financial year. The staff at Cleaswell Hill School also hosted a coffee morning and a pupil bravely completed a sponsored head shave for Macmillan Cancer Support (registered charity number 261017) raising £424.24 this year.
