G(K)d morning everyone, tnay I say before I deliver my re￿[l beCa￿Se of the I(￿kdOWn we are
presently in, these accounts have not yel been Audited. &$ s(￿n as circumstances pern]it I will
ensur¢ this is carried out to ensure the protection ofAudit for our finances rematns.
2020 as you will all iniagine h&s for most aspects of our daily lives difficult. and as Iam
sure it will cotne as no surpri￿, exactly the same h&$ applied to the Finances of the Friends of
rithebarn. Having said thaL our accounts remain reasonably slable even though are income has
dropped considernbly during the l&si 12 months. This was largely due to a dmp in rev¢nue from
Lodges and Chapters by some £3131.06. We would norn￿llY have held our Meat Fe&st durin8
the summer months. with the cancellation of this event we will have lost at least £2400.00,
and arguably maybe a little more than that figuTe.So as you can sce we ate at le&st £5500.00
short on those figures alone.There att one or two other pockets of iucome we would nornwlly
received. you will be able to find them on the baIance sheeL
Of COUT5e it has not been all d(N)m and glooDL considertng the curtailment of norn￿1 meeiings
of Lodges and Chapters. we still realised some £2000.00 in donations, tbis w&s because some of
those sources of income had already set &stde those monies and kindly went ahead and sent to
the Friends in any ¢a5e. l think you will understand when I say to you all. that we are not likely
to have the same thing being ret**ed this year and we may feel the effecl a little more. we shall
have to see. Donations wcr¢ still very mucb appreciated frotn Cheshire Freemasons of £4000.00
our Friends in the Southport Group, £2300.(Ki, the West Lancs Bowling £1 000.00, Sainter.
a very athnirable £IOOO.00. We must not forget Joe Williams for the sale of Pens. £IOO.00. plus
£300.00 from the Liv¢rpool Group Walk and finally £150.￿ from the LiveTpooI Wellington
Group Golf Society, ail grist to the mill. Rethnayne Bentley. our inveslment people continue to
provide us with useful income of £2626.40, coincidentally, exacdy the same income as 2019.
The reason for this is that the Dividends sd by GI￿0 Smithkline Beecham were the same for
2020 therefore giving the same total.
Staying with our income a little fiuther. can I draw you attention to the two very large fIgU￿S
one from Stanford Coachworks for £45330.50. this of course the refimd f￿rn the first
vehicle we ordered and was ofcourse not suitable for our requirements.The other amount for
£19,267.39 . This was the Stopped cheque when Cartwrights went into liquidation. although this
was never c&shed, I thought it best to show the amount in the receipts so that it is very clear to
you all what happened. this item of course shows in th¢ expenditure column which I will come
to later.
I will now turn to (from a Treasurers tM)int of view) the theaded expenditu￿.If we start with the
Matrons fund, this w&s down by some £2455.19 from 2019 iKcause of the Pandemic. whereby
sadly. our residents were not having trips out etc. as they nornmlly would have.How¢v¢r we did
PUTchase new Tv's to the value of £1621.21. while I am on this subject may l express many
thanks to Joe and Colette Williams for their great help in the supply and setting up of this new
equipmenL they were a huge help. thank YO￿ We also supplied new Tenting and Marquee for the
home totslling £1109.90, again a big thank you to Graham Chatnb¢TS and all His assistants for
the supply and setting up of all this equipment also, it proved a huge help to fithebarn. Staying
on the same theme of supply and fitting, a further thank you to Alan Ray with all that He does
in and around fithebarn concerning our part in Maintenance. this area of our spending also
covers the Pond which even in the W￿ler months. does not look too ba(L The total of our
spending here amounted to £1765.00.
