The Innovation Youth Center Project in Zaatari Refugee Camp aims to empower the camp's youth by offering
a vibrant hub for creativity, personal development. and skill-building. As a cornerstone for youth wellbeing and
9rowth.. the cenler has effectlV8ly fostered community engagement. established trusl, and heightened awareness
on issues such as gènder-based violence and sexual and reproductive health rights.
Queslscope is continuously worklng to expand our leadership team lo meet the demand of youth beneficlaries
who have newly registered in the Youth Center. in addition to adopt creative approaches to support runnlng all
lh8 basic activities in light of the limited funding and limited numb8r of paid SYVS. During Ihe period from
Sop, 2023 to Feb 2024. tolal number of 1,483 beneficiaries were accessing services targeting youth of which
425 new beneficiaries registered and received More than one activity at the Center (sport. art,).
Music Educallon Programm•
As per the Mou slgned between Questscope and Playing lor Change Foundation, both parties agreed
to jointly developing, promoting, and SLJslaining a music and cultural program for youth al the Zaalari
Refugee Camp in Jor(Jan. Understanding w8 are launching the program on a small scale: th8 goal of both
organizalions 15 to have this partnership and commilment grow exponentially over the terms of thi5
agreernent and long inlo Ih8.fulure. Through leading music education for beginners and level hvo
(teaching stringed instrumenls. keyboard and drums). our program offers a unique experience that
opens creative horizons and paves the way for discovering emerging talents.

LENS on LIFE is educating Ihe youth on photography skills, as one oflhe ineihods to zoom on thgir life journey and
become more mindful about emotions, conditions, positions Ihal Ihey have been through, then reflect their thoughts
within the group by h'elping each other to analyze and use the right terms.
During 2023, Qf is I8￿J811ng 16 males arKI 24 female youth to complete the beginners and intermediate photography
courses. Furthermore, partnership with Canon continued for 2023 to support the photography school with. cameras,
and Canon provided training in October 2023. for 22 beneficiaries (11. È & 11 M) under 18 yeprs on professional
photography and how lo produce Ihemalic photos.
Reimaginin9 Juvenlle Educatlon: Integrating Greon Economy & Gend•r Equality In the Rehabilitation Program

Rehabilitation Program, in Two Centers in Jordan" lo achieve the following:
In the Pursuit of advancing 8gricultural practices and knowledge, two 8dèPI agricullural engineer trainers were
appointed. lo lead a comprehensive hydroponics tralning program. This inlllalive encompassed th8 delivery of
¢ustomized face-lo-face sessions, with the training course designed to meet the uniqu8 needs of both female
rTiale participants iiiiiliih-ihe car8 and rehabilitation centers.
Non.Formal Educatlonal
Queslscopè and in partnershlp with th8 Ministry of Éducalion IMOE). has begun implementing a proj8Ct lo support
the transilional plan for the Non.FormBI Education Program within the non-formal education program5 at the Ministry
of Education. The projecl aims to inslitutionalize these programs as a basic service for Ihe Ministry of Education for
students who have dropped out of the formal education system.
Social Emotional Learning
QueslsGope has been a(Ivo¢aiing to inlegrale social emotional learning in the formal education during the past
10 years and seizèd the oppoifunity of this fund to push forward to deeply ahalyz.é RLC methods and leaming
outcomes, lo sliovi c8se the resulls on the adolescent's personality develop.ment during their pteserice in thé
NFE clasarooms.
Local Economlc Development:
The intervention desi9n for this project compliments Ihe Nonfomi81 education interventions that Questscope 1$
carying out along with the Ministry of Education. 350 NFE female youth under graduates will be mobilized to be
registered and enrolled in the vocational program$ that are morè private sector needs driven. Moreover, the
vocational trainers will be Capacilaled to condu¢1 career couns8lling and group mentoring lo trainées, while 30
small grants will be distributed lo girls who prove entrepreneurship and apply business models.
Empowering Women and Transforming Communitses Through -the Produ¢live Kilchen"
The history of our partnership with 'Tanagoum al Kheirf Gommunity-based organization is a leslament lo ihe
transform81ive power of collaboration and innovation in Ihe face of adversity. It be9an with an initiatiV8, where we
gave food and m8dical vouchers lo support refugees in their mo$1 vulnerabl6 momen1$. Over lime, our partnership
evolved and expanded, recognizing the importance of sustainability in changing lives. This journey led us to establish
a productive kitchen, a symbol of hope and empowerment in 2022. Through this kitchen, 20+ women hamessed
their culinary talents. not only cookin9 delicious meals but also se¢uring a sustainable incomè.

The charitable company plans to conllnue ils p￿sent activrties and activity levels. Employees are kept as fully
informed as practicable about developments within the charity.
Reserves Pollcy
The Trustees have reviewed the reserves of the Charitable Company, taking into account the location of the work, the
at-risk tsr9et group, inlemlillenl and often large project income funding and the wide range of projects. On this
basis, the Trustees conclude Ihat th8 level of unreslricled reserves should ideally be beiween 9 and 12 months
operalirig expendilure. At present, the lovel of r8seNes is less than rnonlhs operating exp8ndilur8.
Rlsk Revlew
The Trustees conlSnuously review the major risks whlch th8 Charitable Company faces and are implementlng such
systems as are possible lo minimise Ih05e nsks. This reviewing process will continue throughout the forthcoming year.
This year the board was especially mindful of the unique challenges cau6ed by the dlsrupiion to the global economic
situat'ion due to COVIO-19. whlch Includes the INGO fund-r8ising,8nvironmenl, and has discussed it extensivèly.
Investment pollcy
The Trustees consider, on the basis of present cash balances and the need for èasy access to them. that
the current policy of investing short tèrm surplus cash in interest bearing bank deposits is appropriale.
Audltors
Crean &. Co Accountants Limited were appointed as audllors during the year. A resolution re-appointing Crean & Co
is to be proposed al Ihe next Annual General meeling.

1 A¢¢ounting Policies
Company Information
Queslscope is a cofflpany limited by guarantee incorporated in England and Wales. The wistered office is
46 Dene Garlh, Ovingham. Prudhoe, Northumberland, England, NE42 6AP
Basls of accounting and accounllng policles
These financial ststemenls have been prepared in accordance with FRS 102. "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable
in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. {"FRS 102") and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 as applicable lo
companles subject lo the small companies regime. The disclosure requirements of FRS102 have been applied othèr
than where additional disclosure is required to show a true and fair view.
The financial statements are prepared in pounds sterling. The functional currency of the company is American Dollars.
M￿netary amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.
,The financial statéments havè been prepafRd under the hislorical cost convention. The principal accounting policies adopted
are set out below.
Income recognitlon
For thè signing of grant agreernenls, Queslscope now recognlze Income over the perlod of the prolect to whlch the grant
relates. This represents a change of accounting policy as grants were previously recognised as income upon raceipl.
Voluntary income is received by way of donations and gift5 and Is Included in full in the Statement of Financial Activities
when received. Investment income is included when received.
Dopreciation
Fixed assets are generally char9ed to prpjects. All fixéd assets not so charged have been written down to nil.
Forèlgn currencl•s
The company ffjports in Pounds Sterfing. The functional currency of the Company is US Dollars.
Foreign exchange transactions are translated into dollars al the exchange rale ruling at the dale of Iransaclions.
Assets and liabilities in foreign currencies are translated into sterling al the rate of exchange prevailing al the balarjce
sh8el dale. Any exchange differences are dealt wilh in the Stslemenl of Financial Aclivilies.
Resour¢e$ expended
Resources expende(l are allocated lo the particular activity where the costs relate diffjclly to that aclivlty Wh8r8
costs cannot be directly attributed lo particular headings, they have been allocaled on a basis consislenl wilh the
usé of resources. Staff costs ar8 split on an eslimaled basis, examining the work of each staff member s8parately.
Tax status
The Charitable Company is a registered charity within the definition of section 506(1) Income and Corporation Tax
Acl 1988, and is Iherèlore ablé to lake advanlagè ol the reliefs given by Section 505 of that act.
C•8h and cash equival•nts
ash and cash equivalents ar8 basic financial assets and include cash in hand, deposlls held al call with
banks. olher short-term Ilquld Investments with orlginal maturities of three months or less, and bank
overdrafts. Bank overdrafts are shown within borrowings in current liabilities.
Financial instruments
The company has eleded to apply the provisions of SeGtion 11 'Basi¢ Financial Instruments, and Sedion
12 '01her Financial Inslfum8nls Issues, of FRS 102 to all of its financial instruments.
Financial instruments are recognised in the company's balance sheet when ttie company becomes paty to
the contractual provisions of the instrument.
Financial assets and liabllities are off5el, with th8 n8t amounts pres8nted in the financial stalemenls, when
there is a legally enforceable right to set off the recognised amounts and there is 8n intention lo selue on a
Det basis or t(> realise the asset and settle th8 liability simullaneously.
Ba5ic.financlal assets
Basic financial assets, which include debtors and cash and bank balances, are initially measured at
transaction price including transaction costs and are subsequently carried at amortised cost using the
effectsve inlerest mèthod unless the arrangement constitvl8s a linancing transaclion, where Ihe transaction
is measured at the present value of the future receipts discounted at a market rale of interest. Financial
assets classified as receivable within one year are not amortised.

Financial liabilities and equity instruments are classified according lo the substance of the contractual
arrangements entered into. An equity instrumenl is any contr8cI that evidences a r&sidual interest in the
ass'ets of Ih"é cornpany after deductin9 all of its liabilities.
Trade creditors are obligations to pay for goods or seryices that have been acquired in the ordinary cours8
of busin8ss from suppliers. Amounts payable are classified as current liabililies if payment is due within
one year or'less. If nol, ttiey are presented as non-current liabilities. Trade créditors are recognised initially
at transaction price and subsequenlly measured al amortised Gosl using the effective Interest melhod.
