Coventry Citizens Advice is a private company limited by guarantee, Incorporated in England and Wales. In the event
of th8 charity being wound up, the liability in respect of the guarantee is limiled lo £1 per member OF the charity. The
company numb8r and the address of the registered is given in the charity information on page 3 of these
financial slalemenls. The nature of the charity's oparations and principal activiti8s are detailed on page 4.
The financial slalements have been prepared in accordan￿ with Accounting and Reporting by Charltltrs.. Slatémènl
of Recommended Practice applicable to charilies wepaiing their accounts in accordance with the Financlal Reportlng
S18ndard applicable in lh8 UK aTrJ Repubhc of Ireland issued in October 2019, Ihe Finanoal Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 1021, the Charities Act 2011, the Con¥J8nles Act 2006 and UK

Unrestricted funds are available for use at the dlscrelion of the Truslegs in fvrtheran￿ of the general oblecllves of
Ihe charity and which have not been designaled for other purposes.
Designated funds comprise unreslricled funds that havè been set aside by the Tnjslees for particular purpose8. The
aim and u88 of each designated fund is 8et out in the notes to the finan￿al statements.
Restricted funds are funds vthich ar8 lo be used in accordanco with Specific reslriclion8 imposed by donors, orwhi¢h
have bean raised by the Gharily for particular purposes. The costs of r8lsing and admini8leiing such funds are charged
8g8in$l the 8pecific lund. The aim and use of each restricted fund is s81 oul in ihe nol85 lo th8 financlal 8tatemenl8.

Donated facilities and donated professional services 8re ractrJnised in inu)me al Ihelr fair value when their economic
benefit is probable, il can bo measured reliably, and the charity has contsol over the item. Fair value Is determined on
the basis of the value ol the gift lo the charily, for example the amount the char¢ty would b& wllling lo pay in the open
markat for such facilities and services. A coriesponding amount is recognised in expendilure.
