I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. ## **Independent examiner’s statement** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or 3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. During 12-month period 2024/25 Trustees have engaged in the following support activities: ## **UK.** - Financially supported elderly, poor, sick and/or homeless individuals and families. - Financially supported other UK Charitable Trusts providing cost effective and much needed support services to those most in need. - Financially supported the Christian faith and various Christian-based activities. - £17000 awarded to ‘The Living Room’ - part of Torquay’s Church of St Mary Magdalene which reaches out to and supports the homeless and people with various addictions – to fit out a much needed new kitchen & shower facilities. - £500 grant awarded to 39-year-old Mum with terminal cancer - £1000 grant made to UK Charitable Trust ‘Music in the Castle’ - £3200 grant made to obtain treatment, not available under the NHS, for a sufferer of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Lyme Disease, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and whose weight has reduced by 3.5st in 6 months. ## **India.** - During 2024/25 trustees financially sponsored the education of 14 young children from the slums of Bangalore, India – www.escapefrompoverty.org.uk Trustees are convinced education is one of very few routes out of Indian poverty. 4 ## **Summation.** Trustees continue to validate requests for support before making grants or donations and incurring expenditure, especially where potential recipients are located overseas. Trustees are hugely grateful to all who donate funds for the Trust’s support activities.
