## **Trustee Annual Report November 2021** 

New Lease for the Community Centre – This was finally completed with Oxfordshire County Council on 1st February 2021. It operates from 1st October 2018 with the annual rent back-dated to that date. The rent will be reviewed every 5 years, the first review being on 1st October 2023, but our contract has been extended for a period of 20 years (previously it was 5 years) up to 30th September 2038. 

The formal lease is between the Chairman and Treasurer as Trustees and Oxfordshire County Council.  It is virtually the same as the old lease and we are still responsible only for the inside of the building. 

Although the annual rent has increased by £1250 pa , this has been offset by the increase in rent agreed with Goring Gap News. 

Lettings during the Covid Pandemic – We were forced to close in March 2020 and reopened in July 2021. Bookings have not yet returned to pre-Covid levels. We have, however, received a government grant to assist us through this period. 

Lunch Clubs – The Lunch Club recommenced on 30th July 2021 and is going well under the leadership of Denise Sayers. All the members are delighted to be back. However, although there are enough volunteer helpers they are seeking a couple of volunteer drivers to bring people in and take them home afterwards. 

Due to lack of office volunteers, the Transport Office is open no more than 3 days a week. As a result of the Covid pandemic, many of the volunteers in the Information Office have resigned. The Information Office will no longer be manned and volunteers will open the office twice a month in order to update the information available. A suggestion has been made that it might be more appropriate for the information to be displayed in the Library. This is being discussed with the Library Manager.
